Lit, halo-lit, or non-lit

Materials, engineering & compliance
Channel letters are built from aluminum returns, acrylic faces, trim cap, and LED modules and power supplies, then mounted on a raceway or directly to your facade. We think through the details that decide whether a sign lasts: wall construction, wiring and power location, drainage, and how the letters will be serviced later.
Our team understands zoning regulations and municipal code requirements throughout Eastern Ohio, Wheeling, WV, and Western PA. We research what your municipality allows before designs are finalized, so your letters are sized to be approved the first time.

What's the difference between front-lit and halo-lit channel letters?
Front-lit letters have translucent acrylic faces, so the whole face of each letter glows. Halo-lit (reverse-lit) letters have solid faces and throw light onto the wall behind them, creating a glow around each letter. Some signs combine both.
Should my letters be on a raceway or mounted directly to the wall?
A raceway keeps wiring and power supplies in one enclosure and needs fewer wall penetrations, which landlords often prefer. Direct-mount letters look cleaner on the facade. We look at your building, your lease requirements, and your local code during the site visit and recommend the right approach.
Do you handle permitting for channel letters?
Yes. We research local sign code, prepare the site plan and production drawings, and submit the permit paperwork — generally within one week of receiving your deposit. If the permit office requires changes, we bring them back to you for approval first.
Can you repair or re-light existing channel letters?
